SOUTHERN STYLIST OF THE YEAR 2008!
Abena Richardson fought off stiff competition to win the highly acclaimed Southern Stylist of the Year 2008 at the prestigious Wahl/Afro Hair and Beauty Awards.
The proprietor of “asquared” Salon collected the accolade at the Hilton Edgware for the 14th successive annual event in November. Competitors in the same category included stylists from Hype Coiffure and Junior Green.
The unexpected win proved to be a huge shock for Abena as she went to collect the award with her mother, “To win an award that celebrates the hard work and effort put into the hairdressing industry has encouraged me to continuously represent the creativity of afro hair to another level. God has been amazing to me this year” she explains.
