RACE FOR LIFE!
asquared’s Afua Akyeampong, always the one to be involved in events to make a difference, put on her pink tutu and ran 5km for Race for Life.
On Sunday 19 July, Hyde Park was coloured in an array of pink as thousands of women took to the line, walkers/joggers/runners and did their part for combating cancer, one of the highest killers to women in the UK.
Collectively, £212 was raised from friends and family and clients, a huge thank you to all.
Afua says, “It was a fabulous time, despite the rain at the beginning, which didn’t dampen the spirits of those partaking or the atmosphere everyone was full of life. Having spoken to women who were affected by this disease either through themselves or a loved one, it was inspiring to know there is a difference that can be made by each of us. “A truly fantastic day!”
So, next year ladies, put on your pink clothes and take part, it will be something that you will be pleased that you took part in for such a good cause! Take note, you will need your tissues!
